I am the Publisher for The Islander Magazine on Dauphin Island. I am a "new-comer" to the island, and am constantly seeking information about what is happening on the island. I found the new web-site for the Sand Island Lighthouse, and it is wonderful!!
I have been trying to get in touch with you Warren to offer our magazine for anything and everything that we can help with, at no cost of course. I got your name from Ms Marti, at the dress shop. I've called and finally reached someone to leave a message, but did not receive a call back.I was searching for information about the attempt being made to possibly move the Sand Island Lighthouse.
Our magazine is new and intended as a public service. It is not a newspaper, but we have articles of local interest and MANY people read it! We can help! We can sell your book, we can advertise for donations.
We are selling about 1600 to 2000 books a month (published every two weeks), and expect a higher volumn when the tourist come. Our subscription list is growing, and we are in Mississippi, Kentucky, N. Georgia, Arkansas, Florida, and South Carolina so far.
