Johnny Newman is the chairman of the Mobile Point Lighthouse project for the A.L.A.
He is the "watchdog" for the lighthouse.
Johnny is a dedicated lighthouse person and will do a good job keeping us informed. You can help by checking this message board and aiding his call if he needs you to assist.

: I don't know why this hit me today while driving down 231, but with all the financial cutbacks in the State, due to the lack of passage of the financial bill, what will this do to Mobile Point? Warren has already stated that it has been removed for repairs, but with the AHC's funding being slashed, along with every other state Dept, I wonder what this will do to the lighthouse?? Will it, once again, be put in a scrapyard to decay forever??
: I can only hope not, but knowing the States' history, or therefore lack of, with lighthouse preservation, I think we should all be very concerned!
