Cristi, my thoughts exactly! The Alabama Historical Commission set on their A$$ES for years while the Sand Island Lighthouse remained in question as to ownership/restoration. While I am glad preservation is considered for the "sister" lighthouses, Sand Island is first and foremost in my book.
: I can only hope not, but knowing the States' history, or therefore lack of, with lighthouse preservation, I think we should all be very concerned!
