When our (?) Alabama Historical Commission finally decided several months ago not to preserve/restore Sand Island Lighthouse, I sent that info in to Lighthouse Digest. As a suscriber to the publication, I have searched every issue received since then and have not seen any mention. I e'd them again a few nights ago asking if the AHC's disappointing decision, was not news of interest? So far I have not had any reply.
