Yes, this is the Black Metal tower that stood outside of the Fort. It was in the area around the museum/gift shop area, last time I was there it had a chain fence around it... Doesn't seem like it'll be back at the Coast anytime soon from what I hear within the AHC... Such a shame!
: Is this the black lighthouse tower that stands near the fort today? I just had to ask. I know that a temporary light was erected after the battle at Mobile Bay when the old lighthouse was severely damaged. I was just at Ft. Morgan last year and I am trying to imagine just which structure you are referring to.
